Connecticut Comptroller correspondence, 1786-1805.

A collection of correspondence sent to James Wadsworth, Andrew Kingsbury, and John Porter while each served as Comptroller of the State of Connecticut. Wadsworth was the first to hold the office, serving between 1786 and 1788. Kingsbury was in office 1791-1793 and was followed by Porter, 1793-1806. The topics include letters sent to the Collectors of Import in various Connecticut towns, balances due to those who fought in the Revolutionary War, issues with the state courts, and other matters.
